Amandeep Bedi holds a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency and joined Brookes Bell in 2024. With over 14 years at sea, he has operated a diverse array of vessels, gaining extensive experience on LNG and all types of LPG vessels trading across different global routes. Beginning his career on Bulk carriers and Cement Self unloaders, he transitioned to gas carriers, eventually serving 7 years as Chief Engineer on SHELL LNG vessels and various other types of gas carriers including LPG, Ammonia, and ethylene, before moving ashore.


Background

In his shore-based role, Amandeep brings nearly a decade of experience in ship management. As a Deputy Fleet Manager, he oversaw a fleet of membrane-type dual fuel LNG vessels and VLGCs, including those for leading shipowners such as Avance Gas, Odfjell Tankers, Schulte Group, Mitsui, and Petradec. In this role, he assumed responsibility for ensuring the efficient management of these vessels. Additionally, he led numerous projects including dry dockings, damage repairs, and retrofit installations, involving planning, cost management, project supervision, and final cost settlement.

Beyond ship management, Amandeep also worked for an offshore company, focusing on business development, client management, and enhancing commercial exposure.
