Career Summary
Volodymyr Petrov has more than 20 years’ experience in marine engineering, working across various vessels including tankers, FPSOs, SP Jack-ups, Containers and Car Carriers. For the past five years he has served as Chief Engineer, in charge of the engineering teams with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
Background
His background includes a wide range of engine types as well as experience with vessel maintenance, repair and the management of nine drydocks across different countries and continents. This includes the replacement of major machinery, such as diesel generators and inert gas systems.
Throughout his career, Volodymyr has successfully overseen technical operations and ensured compliance with the highest safety and environmental standards. He has been managing vessels with complex inspections, including PSC, Vetting, CDI, SIRE, Flag State and internal audits. He also has experience in vessel performance monitoring and optimisation, particularly in fuel consumption systems and is familiar with various PMS systems, including BASSNet, Shipnet, Titan, Danaos and others.

- DPVM (DP Vessel Maintainer) according to NI Regulation from 2024
