BIMCO IMSBC webinar

Dr Martin Jonas was a speaker at a well-attended webinar session on the IMSBC Code, hosted by the BIMCO Marine Department on 21 October 2015 The one-hour long webinar on the IMSBC Code, highlighted two very relevant issues for members on “How to carry bulk cargoes safely – a shared risk?” and “What is it – identifying cargo hazards under the IMSBC Code”.

The webinar was hosted by Ms. Ai Cheng Foo Nielsen, marine technical officer and joined by two distinguished speakers in their respective fields of expertise, Colin Gillespie, Deputy Director ( Loss Prevention) of North of England P&I Club and our very own Martin Jonas, Partner and Consulting Scientist of Brookes Bell Group.

The webinar was well attended and many of the questions asked related to the carriage of bauxite cargoes and how these cargoes could be distinguished as Group A or Group C.
