Brookes Bell Welcomes Amandeep Bedi as New Managing Marine Engineer

Brookes Bell is delighted to announce the appointment of Amandeep Bedi as our new Managing Marine Engineer.  Based in our Singapore office, Amandeep brings over 14 years of extensive maritime experience at sea, holding a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency.

Amandeep's career has seen him serve at sea across a variety of vessels, beginning on bulk carriers and cement self-unloaders, progressing to ammonia carriers, LPG, and LNG vessels.  His expertise culminated in a role as Chief Engineer on LNG vessels managed by Shell.  Amandeep’s vast sea experience spanned multiple global routes and regions, providing him with a unique perspective on the challenges faced by different vessel types operating around the world.

Transitioning ashore, Amandeep served as Deputy Fleet Manager, overseeing membrane-type dual-fuel LNG vessels and Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs).  In this role, he administered efficient vessel management, successfully led drydocking operations, damage repairs, and retrofitting projects.  His nearly decade-long shore-based experience further included pivotal roles in business development, client management, and enhancing commercial exposure at an offshore company.

Amandeep's qualifications are extensive, including certifications in hazardous area installation, high-voltage management, tanker vetting inspection, and SIGTTO LNG Training.  He is also certified in MARPOL and environmental management, holding an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditation, and technically proficient across a wide array of main and auxiliary engines.
