New Starters

We are very pleased to announce six new starters to the Liverpool office. Our new marine engineers, master mariners, paint coatings specialists and NDT technicians enhance our existing team and allow us to further diversify into new markets.

Judith Fergus – Judith is a qualified Chemist with over 30 years' experience in marine, protective coatings and fire proofing. She has worked in the shipping, oil and gas and infrastructure sectors, handling research & development, marketing, business development and sales with global companies. Her main areas of expertise cover a range of investigative, managerial and paint product development in the marine and protective coatings industry. Prior to joining Brookes Bell, Judith worked in the technical operations department of a major coating manufacturer for many years.

Graeme Kirby – Graeme is an Engineering Technician (PCN Level 2, ISO 9712) specialising in the field of Non-Destructive Testing. Graeme has worked in the Heavy Industry Sector for 15 years, with a wealth of experience in the field of Oil Gas, Energy, Rail Integrity Inspection and Material Analysis. Prior to joining Brookes Bell, he spent many years providing expert technical support and advice to OEM’s, industry Owners and Operators and has worked on outage campaigns and shutdowns across Europe.

Martin Beech – Martin is an Engineering Technician (PCN Level 2, ISO 9712) specialising in the field of NDT. Martin has worked in the Heavy Industry Sector for 5 years, with a wealth of experience in the field of Oil Gas and Energy. He has spent many years providing expert technical support and advice to OEM’s, industry Owners and Operators and has worked on outage campaigns and shutdowns across Europe. His work throughout his career has entailed providing pre and in-service inspection, corrosion monitoring.

Lee Lewtas –Lee is a Marine Engineer with a STCW 2010 III/2 Chief Engineer’s Unlimited Motor Certificate of Competency and is a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. Prior to joining Brookes Bell, Lee spent 13 years' at sea, starting on container vessels and then moving on to large Ro-Pax ferries. In this time, he has gained experience on large 2-stroke engines, but more recently has been sailing as Chief Engineer on large Ro-Pax ferries, gaining considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of medium-speed 4-stroke engines along with all associated ancillary equipment.

Aadeela Zumla – Aadeela is an Integrity Engineer and Senior Plant Inspector with over ten years’ experience in the heavy industry sector, specialising in marine, offshore and land-based heavy production. Aadeela is certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) as a Piping Inspector (API 570) and Pressure Vessels Inspector (API 510), and by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as a Senior Plant Inspector (ASME Level 2).Prior to joining Brookes Bell, Aadeela was responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repairs of various FPSO and fixed offshore assets for Operators in the North Sea.

Dominic Bell – Dominic is a Master Mariner with command experience. Previously, he sailed as Master with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Ltd. During his 19 years at sea, he sailed on various ship types, including freight ferries, Ro-Pax and high-speed passenger ferries and various naval auxiliaries. Dominic has considerable ship management experience and has served as Designated Person Ashore, Company Security Officer and Crisis Manager. He has extensive pilotage and ship-handling experience on various ship types, having served as a marine pilot and held pilotage exemption certificates as Master.
