Welcome to Captain David Ireland

We are delighted to announce that Captain David Ireland has joined our team bringing a wealth of seafaring knowledge and Special Casualty Representative (SCR) capabilities with him. Based in our US office, David is a master mariner with almost 30 years’ experience in the tanker industry together with five years as a member of the Lloyd’s SCR Panel. 

Working from Singapore and the USA, David has handled a variety of cases for shipowners, lawyers and insurers involving a range of vessel types. He’s been involved with newbuildings, demolitions, warranty surveys, collision/grounding investigations and numerous other related issues and incidents. As an acknowledged expert, David also gives opinion on tanker operations in court and at arbitration hearings in the UK and USA.

David will be working with the 3D Marine team in Houston (the marine consultancy we acquired earlier in the year) and the other Brookes Bell teams across the world. We welcome David as a valuable addition to our team and we look forward to his contribution to our global network of clients.
